Slender-leaved Goldenrod


Order: Asterales
Family: Asteraceae
Genus: Euthamia
Species: E. caroliniana

Identifying Characteristics:

- The largest leaves are very narrow (about 1/8" wide), with either a single vein ot 3 indistinct veins

- There are often tufts of smaller leaves in the axils.

- 1-2 1/2' high

- Flower size: 1/4 inch long

- Flower color: yellow

- Flowering time: August to October

- Origin: native

Special Adaptations:

- grows is sandy soil
